Budget Beauty - MUA Luxe Glow Beam Highlight Cushion
What is radiance? Dictionary meaning is "Radiance is a type of glowing: either from a light source like the sun or a healthy, beaming person.". Lately beauty world is focusing on "radiance" more and more and we want to look radiant. Luckily with a few tricks, it is not that hard to change the dull complexion. You shouldn't only rely on makeup products for it. If the glow is not enough then the makeup products like MUA Luxe Glow Beam Highlight Cushion can help you with that.
Cushion is everywhere! Cushion foundation, cushion bronzer, cushion blush... and now cushion highlighter? Even though this Korean beauty trend is a bit hit, I didn't really get into the hype. At first all I thought was, it is just foundation in a sponge, isn't it? To be honest, I still can't understand what makes them special, if you know the answer, could you please answer me?
Treating yourself with high end products might be good, however, you might not be happy with the aftermath of it. That's why finding a bargain is good! Especially on products that you have mixed thoughts about. At least then even if you don't like it, you could just let it go since it's a bargain. Don't you like finding a good and bargain product?
The first time I saw MUA Luxe Glow Beam Highlight Cushion Gold was in Fleur DeForce's Autumn Makeup bag video and instantly added to my wish list. I have only tried a few products from MUA and they're good so I hoped MUA Luxe Glow Beam Highlight Cushion would be the same.
Let's first start with the packaging... It comes in a white&gold compact (gold writing on white packaging looks good). All cushion products' packagings look the same. It comes with a cushion puff too, but I still haven't used it.
It looks like a foundation, however, when you put it on it enhances the natural radiance with a beautiful golden glow. You can use your finger tips, brush or a beauty blender to apply it. It is a lightweight highlighter and blends so easily. When you blend it, it gives sheer luminous shimmer. When I want to build it up, I use the beauty blender and dab onto the areas I want. It is easier to build and gives a more natural finish.
This gold highlighter would suit any skin tone, as I said before you'd just use it as little as you want just to get the radiance look. If you love true gold highlight then you should give this a try. This is not as intense as MAC Whisper of Gilt but still a nice colour for any complexion.
(I'm not good at taking swatch photos! These are unblended swatches and once it's blended, it leaves a really nice shimmer)
Overall, this is a good and bargain highlighter. If you are not really into highlighters but you want some glow then you could start with that one. Sheer glow will make your skin look healthier!

The packaging alone looks sooo gorgeous haha. Even though sometimes I like to go all in with the glow, I still prefer to have sheer glow for my daily makeup :) x

To be honest I don't get the cushion thing either ;) This highlighter looks very pretty though! Once it is blended well, then you don't even feel it on your skin. It doesn't give that heavy feeling x

I really like gold higlighters! I haven't tried a highlighter in a la sponge style but if it's easy to blend out, then I'm down! I didn't know MUA came out with these! I have a few of their eyeshadow palettes that I gotta dig in and test!
It is easy to blend out and once you blend it, it doesn't look anything like the swatches. It gives a really nice sutble glow.

I've always liked MUA products but I have never explored their Luxe range. The packaging of this highlighter looks really pretty.
I haven't tried many products from MUA, the LUXE range is pretty good, I've swatched almost the whole range :)
