MAC Ruby Woo for Perfect Valentine's Day Lips
Have you ever thought why love is associated with red? Passion, love, anger all these feelings are related to red. When it is Valentine’s Day, you don’t see blue or yellow hearts around, but red. Everything is red, but why? All I could think is red increases the heart rate like love does, so maybe that’s the reason for it. What do you think? So, let's show our love and passion on Valentine's Day with red lips! I think I've found the Perfect Valentine's Day Lips with MAC Ruby Woo...
I am not a big fan of Valentine’s Day to be honest. The main reason is that you don’t need just one day to express your love for the other half. I think love should be expressed whenever you feel like expressing it, not only on Valentine’s Day. I hope I am not the only one thinking that way. However, since Valentine’s Day is a few days away, even though you might not be celebrating it, you might want to spice things up with red lips.
MAC Ruby Woo is the perfect red, which is not too warm and not too cool, vibrant red with a perfect amount of blue undertone. If you are not into eye catching bright warm reds, then you will love MAC Ruby Woo.
It is a matte, extremely matte lipstick, it is different than any other matte lipsticks that I’ve tried like NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. Since it is really matte, you don’t really need to apply lip liner, it will not get messy when you wear it. If you have dry lips, before you wear MAC Ruby Woo, or any MAC Retro Matte Lipsticks, you should make sure that your lips are well moisturised. Most of the time I scrub my lips beforehand, and then apply generous amount of lip balm, so that it won’t look patchy and feel uncomfortable. It is also really long lasting, it won’t budge easily and even after you eat or drink, your lipstick will still be there, which is perfect. Isn't it?
The perfect way to wear red lips on Valentine’s Day would either be with minimal makeup like liner and mascara or a full smoky eye makeup. I wear red lips either way, but at the moment I prefer my eyes plain with liner to make the red lip the focal point. Oh, and I feel the same way about Valentines Day as well. That's a really pretty red :) and the matte formula makes it even more perfect! I just purchased my perfect red from Kiko and I'm writing a post about it and other Kiko purchases later this evening :) I'm not sure if I've ever thought of why red is so strongly related to love. But I have thought, when driving past shopping centers with all the shops and their logos listed on the outside, why so many companies have their logo in red! :D it's a very noticabe colour, that much I know hehe :) and actually my fave too! Ruby Woo never goes out of style. My perfect red though is Rimmel's 107 which is darker and a bit more pink toned. Dior's 999 is warmer but also a staple in my kit. I've never celebrated VD but like I said before, I think it's the perfect excuse to play around with makeup and just do everything and anything to perfect that look you've always wanted to. I remember visiting a MAC counter a couple of years ago and one of the associates applied Ruby Woo on my lips. I HATED it even though a few people around me tried to convince me that it looked great. I agree with your reasoning for red being everywhere when it comes to Valentine's Day Ela! I also agree that having one day to show love for your other half is a little silly. This such an iconic shade. But I normally tend to reach for MAC Chilli. The mild orange tinge works well on my NC 43.5
