Choosing the right haircare product is crucial. With one tiny wrong decision, your hair might end up looking dull and flat. What if you’re given a product that doesn’t exactly suit your hair’s needs, would you still use it? Name can be appealing, like Josh Wood Radiant Shine Hair Treatment Oil… Who wouldn’t want extra shine?

Josh Wood Radiant Shine Hair Treatment Oil is specially developed for taking care of the coloured hair, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t use it on uncoloured hair. It might actually give an extra boost, right? I feel like there are more specialised products for coloured hair than natural hair. Is there any hair treatment oil for oily hair which would give radiant shine? I haven’t come across to any, if you know it, please let me know.

If you have oily hair, then you probably know the struggle with the hair treatment oils. They can be good for the hair, but at the end of the day, your hair will probably feel as heavy as your handbag. It’s one of the reasons that I’m not really into hair treatment oils, there are only one or two that I could fully rely on. Since Josh Wood Radiant Shine Hair Treatment Oil (26 ml) is one of the M&S Advent calendar products, I thought I’d give it a try.

Josh Wood Radiant Shine Hair Treatment Oil is specifically created for coloured hair to give the radiant shine. You could also use it on uncoloured hair as well, you will still get that extra shine boost and healthier looking hair.

Let’s start with the smell… It has a really lovely, sweet&floral scent which doesn’t fade away straight away. When I’m going out, I like to spray perfume on my hair. At least when I use this oil, I know that the sell will be there, so I could skip that step.

It is a light weight oil. Even though, the consistency is somewhere in between light and heavy, once you use it, there’s no greasy feeling. If you don’t like that oily feeling on your hands, then this might be for you. You could use this oil as a pre-shampoo treatment, pre-styling moisture boost or as a finishing product for the glossy look. I prefer to use it as pre-styling moisture boost and finishing product. I prefer to use my other hair treatment products as a pre-shampoo treatment. If you want to use it as a pre-shampoo treatment, apply generous amount on your hair(avoid roots). Leave it for 10-15 minutes then carry on with your hair washing routine. You could use it on your damp hair before drying/styling it or you could just put a few drops on the end of your hair once you finished styling it.

You only need a few drops to get the shine boost. It makes the hair feel so soft and smooth, also you get the natural glow. One good thing is that it doesn’t weigh down the hair. If you’re struggling with thin, flat hair then you can rely on this, however, just make sure not to apply it to the roots, otherwise, it will be the opposite.

Josh Wood Radiant Shine Hair Treatment Oil is £12.50 for 48 ml. It gives shine boost to normal hair and I’m sure it would have the same effect on coloured hair. Even though it might look tiny, you don’t really need much product to get that boost. This is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, so if you are looking for cruelty-free products then you should keep an eye on Josh Wood products.
