Who doesn’t want flawless hair? We all want it, but it is not easy to achieve, is it? Percy & Reed claims “miracle leave-in balm preps and primes your hair in readiness for all styling products and techniques. It’s all you need for beautiful, healthy looking and flawless hair.“. If one product can give that flawless hair then there’s no need to look for something else! Can Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm actually make wonders?
It feels like nowadays there’s a primer for everything. Face primers, eye primers… and hair primer? Well, that’s something new to me. I kept seeing Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm online, but never really bothered to check out what exactly it does. It is basically described as a hair primer. You use it before carrying on with your normal hair styling routine. Well, but why do you need it? It is to make the hair feel softer and prevent that crispy feeling.
It is lightweight and has a gel like consistency. Due to the gel-like consistency, it might feel sticky at first. When you apply it to hair, hair doesn’t feel sticky but some stickiness is left on the hands.
You can use Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm alone or as a base product before applying other styling products. I prefer to use it before I dry my hair. When I apply balms and oils on dry hair, most of them weigh down my hair and I end up having flat and dead looking hair. How much you need always depends on the thickness of your hair. When the hair it towel-dried, you don’t really need much(1-2 pea size) to apply it all over. You can work from roots to tips, I usually avoid applying products like this to my roots. After applying the product, I wait for a few minutes and dry it.
How is the result? I have so many flyaways and you could expect the result when I dry it. Luckily this wonder balm made it stop. When I use it, my hair looks smoother with minimal flyaways. I think this would be a good product to use in humid places as well. After drying the hair, I was left with smooth and super soft hair. Also, it left such a light and beautiful scent on my hair. Good thing is, it didn’t weight down my hair and at the end of the day my hair still looked good. To test it properly, I applied a little after styling my hair and applying so much hair spray. It helped to get rid of that crispy spray look and made the hair look shinier.
Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm is £18 for 75 ml. If you’re looking for a product that will keep your hair soft and flyaways-free then I’d recommend this. It is a little bit on the pricey side for a small product, but you don’t really need much to use. I mostly use it when I have plans to go out and except that I stick to hair oils.
