Get set to bloom… Are you ready for it? If you are not then maybe adding some rose to your life might help you with that. When I was a kid, my parents always kept some rose water in the fridge. When I got hot, I always put some on my face and I liked that hydrating and cooling feeling. Then I went through a phase of not liking any rose scented products. Now? Well, I seem to change my mind. I’m still not too fan of the strongly scented ones, but something subtle like Pixi Rose Tonic has its place in my routine.

Every year M&S puts Pixi Beauty product in their advent calendar. First, it was Pixi Brow Tamer for Defined Brows and last year Pixi LipLift Max in Honey Sheen. I could say this year is the winner! The 12th product of M&S Advent Calendar is Pixi Rose Tonic which goes into my skincare backup. Rose and elderflower nourishing toner…

I’ve been using Pixi Rose Tonic since it came out and I’m already on my second bottle, so this  As much as I like having strong tonics in my skincare routine, it is good to add something mild and not aggressive to rest the skin. Glow tonic is still my favourite, but I like adding rose tonic to my morning routine.

Pixi Rose Tonic is one of the relatively new tonics of Pixi Beauty. Rose tonic helps to tone, balance pH, minimize redness and calm skin. Due to the ingredients being used, this tonic is naturally soothing and rich in nutrients which rehydrates, replenishes and refreshes. All sound good, doesn’t it? Does it deliver? Yes!

I’ve been using Pixi Glow Tonic for 2 years now and when they brought out a new one I had to get it. I could easily say that this rose tonic is really gentle and refreshing. It has a wonderful subtle scent which is not overwhelming but calming. When my skin isn’t well hydrated, I can rely on this one. It locks the hydration and gets my skin looking smooth and well hydrated.

How to use it? You can use it AM and PM, after cleansing your skin, however, I prefer to use rose tonic in the morning and use something stronger like Glow Tonic or Retinol Tonic in the evening. It is the perfect combo! If you don’t have really sensitive skin and want to introduce some acid to your skincare routine, then I’d highly recommend Pixi Glow Tonic and The Ordinary Glycolic Acid.

Pixi Rose Tonic is £10 for 100 ml or £18 for 250 ml. Would I recommend it? Definitely. It is gentle and it hydrates my skin and gets it so soft. It is perfect to use in the mornings and it is really refreshing. Subtle rose scent wakes up your senses and doesn’t linger. If you are new to Pixi Beauty and want to try some of their skincare products, definitely add this to your list.

Have you tried Pixi Rose Tonic or any other tonic? What’s your favourite Pixi Beauty product? Also, any soft tonic recommendation?
