Alpha-H Liquid Gold

If you could only use one skincare product for your entire life, what would be your pick? Would it be a cleanser, serum, moisturiser or some other product... One thing is for sure that it wouldn't be an easy decision. Would you opt for a resurfacing and firming lotion like Alpha-H Liquid Gold?
I am not sure what my pick would be, but I know that I would go for a multi-purpose product. Maybe a serum or heavy duty moisturiser. I hope we won't have to make a decision like that because I know that I would hate my pick eventually.
For so long, I preferred physical exfoliating over everything else. I thought those tiny particles in the cleansers would help my skin to renew itself. As you might guess, of course, I was wrong. Physical exfoliators might give you what you want temporarily but in a long run, you need more than that. Alpha-H Liquid Gold had been on my wish list for a long time, I just wasn't sure how it would affect my skin. 50 ml is a decent size to test the product and decide whether I like it or not.
Let's talk about Alpha-H Liquid Gold... It's one of the hyped product in the blogging world, some of my favourite bloggers swear by it, but it's really worth the hype? What they promise is big, "Alpha-H Liquid Gold visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, hyper-pigmentation, sun damage, acne, scarring and breakouts.". Glycolic acid and liquorice are some of the main ingredients. Apparently, this duo makes the whole difference on the skin. If you want to learn more about the ingredients then, I'd highly recommend you checking this website.
It is recommended to use every other night as a night treatment. How do I use it? I use it every other night as recommended and I opt for gentle cleansers to remove any impurities. After cleansing, I put it on a cotton pad and apply it all over my face. Once it sets then the moisturiser/serum is the next step of the skincare routine. At first, it gave some tingly feeling, but it doesn't last long. In the morning, my skin feels smoother and softer. I wonder if it will really minimise the pores, it would be great! I will carry on using it the same way to see the full effects of it. Maybe it makes its way to forever repurchase list.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold is £33.50 for 100 ml, even if you use it every other night, it would last for a few months. As I keep saying, in order to see the full benefits of a skincare product, it is best to test at least for a month or two. I don't have any hyper-pigmentation or scaring but I noticed that I don't get that much breakouts anymore. I haven't seen any effects on fine lines yet after using it for a few weeks. Do I recommend it? If you're looking for a strong chemical exfoliator then yes. If you have really sensitive skin, then you should probably test it before making a commitment.
Do you prefer physical or chemical exfoliating? What's your favourite chemical exfoliator? Have you tried Alpha-H Liquid Gold?

I absolutely love Alpha H liquid gold and I'm exactly the same too, I thought physical exfoliators were the way forward but I had a facial and was told I really needed chemical exfoliators, now I'm obsessed! Elle www.theellenextdoor.com xx

Everyone raves about Liquid gold, I think I need to give it a go. And how cool is it that they've included it into the calendar because it is pretty pricey! Have a lovely week :) tipscapsule.blogspot.com

I haven't tried it yet, but I've been seeing it everywhere. Thanks so much for reviewing it. I have super sensitive skin and it's good to know it can be a little harsh Dora http://www.adropofindigo.com/
If you have super sensitive skin, then I don't know if it would be suitable for you. You should test it in the store.
I can't believe I´ve never heard of this product. I´m going to try it out tonight and see how well it works on my skin. Great review, love your pictures! Vanessa x | www.springlilies.com
It is a cult product, you should check it out! x
AlphaH Liquid Gold was my first chemical exfoliator, and the one that I will forever love and hold dear, but my favorite chemical exfoliant is Sunday Riley Good Genes. Linda, Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking
You're the reason I wanted to try this one and I wish I hadn't waited that long. Good genes sound good but the price... That's a lot!
I love Liquid Gold & have repurchased several times since I first started using it around 3/4 years ago! xx Beautylymin| CaseAppGiveaway

Just like you I only have started using chemical exfoliators when I started blogging 3 years ago and they made a massive difference to my skin. I had the same sample of the Alpha -H Liquid Gold and it did lasted a good amount of time cause I used it only once or twice a week, it was good but it didn't wowed me, probably because my skin is used to strong acid peels so it wasn't anything revolutionary for me. x Mummy's Beauty Corner
My skin is not used to strong acid peels that's one of the most strong one so it made a big difference for me. I think after this, I will try stronger ones to see how much difference they make x
What a cute advent calendar! I'm in need of something for fine lines and I love that it calls itself liquid gold. Sounds so fun! xx Yasmin http://banglesandbungalows.com
This is a really good one, you should try it out :) x
This sounds like a product I would LOVE. I can't use it quite yet but once I have my baby I think I can start using these types of products again and I cannot wait! And gosh if I had to pick just ONE product forever...ahhh that is such a hard decision lol! I don't think I could choose! xx Lauren Blame it on Barneys http://www.blameitonbarneys.com
I'm sure you don't need products like this at the moment and have that pregnancy glow :) x
This sounds like a great product - I was always under the impression that physical exfoliants were better as well, but really they can be quite damaging for your skin. Love the sound of this one though. That gif is too cute! I love it! www.lindseyginge.com
I was the same but all they do is damaging the skin more so I don't use them too often anymore.
This product sounds so wonderful, I'm really curious to try it!
It is really good!
I've just recently tried Liquid Gold and I really like it, it's so effective! Beautiful photos xxx
It is really effective! x
To be honest, this is my first time hearing about this product. This is also my first time hearing about chemical and physical exfoliating. Based from the result, I think this is a great product though, especially since it an visibly reduce fine lines /wrinkles. I'd love to try this, bit I don't think it's available in my country right now. - Gretch of GGMemochou
Chemical exfoliating might not be the best for sensitive skin but it is really effective. You'd see the effects of it! x
I remember a while back when everyone was talking about this product, so much hype was surrounding it! From the sounds of this review I think this would actually be too strong for my skin though, so lucky I didn't just blindly dive into the hype! www.thesundaymode.com
I don't usually go for hyped products as they end up being disappointing, but I am really happy with this and it is really worth the hype.
I haven't heard about this one before surprisingly so definitely looking forward to giving it a go in my calendar! www.ohsobecky.com
It is a good one, I'm sure you'll love it!
Loving the cute little gif! I have two bottles of this and had to stop using it whilst I was using the IPL device on my face. However I have slowed that down now, so may have to reintroduce this to my routine because I did notice a beautiful brightening glow on my skin after a week or two of consistent use ^_^ Iqra | The Blushing Giraffe x
It had been on my wish list for so long and now after finally trying it, I can say it is a really good product. I wish I had tried it earlier :) x
Such a beautiful holiday photo. I've actually never heard of this product before your post, but if it does all that it promises to do then it sounds like a dream product :) Wishing you happy holidays! Morgan | www.monde-et-mode.com
I really wanted to try this but my beautician scared me off of extreme exfoliation because I have sensitive skin. (I get thread veins, which I had zapped by her, which she said can also be caused by harsh skincare). It's tricky to find effective anti-ageing things that don't irritate the skin.
