Summer/Winter Makeup - #CollabmasInJuly
Do you have any makeup look which you would like to wear all around the year? I think it is best to have one safe makeup option which you can always rely on no matter which season of the year it is. Can you think about summer makeup which you can also wear it as winter makeup?
Bronzy makeup and natural makeup fit into this category! If I am not wearing minimal makeup in summer, then I am probably wearing bronzy makeup. I just like how it looks. Also when you change the lip colour to something berry or burgundy then it will be perfect autumn/winter makeup. Don't you think so? My latest summer makeup obsession is something like Zoe Saldana's, basically minimal no makeup look!
For natural looking makeup, it is important to start with a good base. After the skincare routine applying a spray like MAC Fix+ will help your base go smoothly. Since this year glow is the trend just before the foundation, I apply MAC Strobe Cream and let it set. Then I use Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint to achieve medium coverage which is not heavy on the skin.
Once I finish the base, theBalm Bahama Mama is good for contouring and bronzing, it is cool toned and help me define the face. I like peachy toned blushes and MAC Peachykeen then apply theBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer to highlight the whole face and also inner corner of my eyes.
When I don't wear any eyeshadow, I make sure to apply decent amount of mascara (at least 2 coats) to make my eyes stand out. When I am patient enough to wait Smashbox X-Rated Mascara gives good volume. If I am in hurry then I combine Maybelline Lash Sensational and this mascara, I love the result!
If you keep the makeup relatively minimal then you should focus on the lips. Whether you like pinks or nudes, just pick a lipstick you will feel comfortable. MAC Twig is dusky brownish pink and it is perfect everyday colour!

I definitely don't change up my makeup too much - although in the winter I switch out bronzing for some blush (which I've recently begun to really love!) Autumn/Fall berry lips for sure - and more pink/nude for summer! Neat idea for a post :) www.lindseyginge.com

Interesting read! I only have the one lipstick and wear nothing or BB cream year round, but if I was to start having a collection of eyeshadows again I could see myself changing them based on the seasons when I'm in the office and wearing makeup. My go-to makeup look all year around is just a heavy liner and mascara. Think I've worn it so much that it's either no makeup at all or heavy eyes that counts! But love to do more colorful lips during summer! Xx www.thefashionfolks.com

I have been wearing minimal makeup with a bright bold lips or strong matte eyes with nude lips. Recently I bought Maybelline Colour Tattoo in shade Creamy Beige and it's the perfect everyday shade. Oo lala Twig is a really pretty lip shade; brownish pinks are one of my to go's to look natural but also put together! I just started using bronzer again and love it!!!

Minimal makeup is the best thing for hot summer days. I can't imagine wearing full face heavy makeup in summer :)

Most of the time I change my foundation and my lipstick then keep the rest relatively similar. Agree that you can't go wrong with theBalm, their products are good! x
Such a nice selection of products you have here. I am currently using the X-rated Mascara too. I find it is great for that natural lash look, but takes a while to build volume. I like how you layer two mascaras to get your perfect volume. I have the same problem with X-Rated, I need to build it up to get a nice volume and sometimes I don't have time for it.
