Weekends and special occasions are a perfect combination to get out all your makeup. You have plenty of time to get ready and do whatever you feel like with your makeup, that’s why I call it Weekend Makeup. Smoky makeup, natural look… however you feel comfortable!
Yesterday, I went to an engagement party. At first, I wasn’t really sure what to wear and also about makeup, then I picked up my cream colour dress with gold linings in it. For this dress I thought brown/bronze eye look would be just perfect.
Weekend Makeup Face
I didn’t want something heavy, as my skin is doing alright at the moment. Rimmel Match Perfection in Soft Beige made a good job at giving me a flawless skin; it gives medium coverage. Then I used my beloved Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in the shade of Nude; it is probably many’s favourite concealer. It gives really good coverage and it doesn’t crease, so it’s perfect for hiding any skin problems! Bourjois’ cult bronzer Délice de Poudre was my bronzer choice, even though it has highlighter too, I don’t tend to use it a lot, because I don’t think it is good enough. Then for the blush I chose Max Factor Cream Puff Blush in Seductive Pink, it is a really pigmented blush and so easy to apply. Then at last, I used theBalm May-Lou Manizer on my cheek bones, under brows, nose and cupid bow… just wherever you can apply It basically!
Weekend Makeup Eyes
I was given a Makeup Revolution Ultra Eyeshadow Palette Flawless a while back, however, I didn’t really use it. I just didn’t want to ruin how pretty it looked (weird right?). It has 32 gorgeous shades and just everything I needed for the look I wanted. For the crease I used Pure Chocolate then used Cooper Shimmer, as the main shade and then I added a bit of Molton Chocolate. The eye shadows are really pigmented and it lasts for so long. I applied my makeup at 5 pm and when I was home at 1 am, my eye makeup was still good as new! That’s something I really liked! Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner was my eyeliner choice; I just like this product! And at last, I applied No7 Exquisite Curl mascara. It gives really nice curve and volume then added a few individual lashes from Essence frame4fame lashes.
Weekend Makeup Lips
I don’t really wear dark lipsticks when I have a heavy makeup look, however, I felt like wearing berry lips. Astor Heidi Color Last VIP Lipstick in 008 Spicy was a gift and I didn’t know this brand before. Also, it was the first time that I’d be using the lipstick. I didn’t know how it would be, but I am really surprised. You get a perfect shade with just one layer and it is really long lasting. It is creamy and didn’t give me dry lips; I would highly recommend this one!
I actually took some photos of the look, but they didn’t turn right; I should have used the tripod. Hopefully next time I will be able to show you one of the looks!
