skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream

skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream is described as "A high-performance eye cream formulated to address all eye care concerns caused by stress-related oxygen and nutrient depletion.". Stress is bad for the health, skin... basically everything! Can a product be a solution for stressed skin? Do you think skin acts differently when you're under stress?
If I am not a familiar with a brand, I always double think before using it. I saw skyn Iceland products in M&S, but never gave them a try. This skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream promises a lot... From minimising puffiness and wrinkles to brightening up the eye areas.
The texture of skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream (5 ml ~ 4.8 g) is nothing similar to what I used before. It is something like a gel-mousse texture, it is quite bouncy. It is also hard to get the cream. If you ever saw a gone off milk which has that weird texture, this cream is exactly the same... Well, it is a little bit on the thicker side, though. When you massage it, you get a little bit of heat then it cools down. Maybe that's how it work to make the skin look better.

If you are really cautious about the ingredients, then this cream ticks some of the boxes. skyn Iceland products are free of parabens, petroleum, mineral oil and sulphates. Aqua (water) is the first ingredient. When you use it, you feel that it is not like any other eye cream. Also, the second ingredient is hydrogenated ethylhexyl olivate which is used as a skin conditioning agent. Flavagrum is used for diminishing under eye puffiness and also lighten the day under eye circles. When you check the ingredients list is promising. There are so many beneficial essential oils and acids.
When I'm using a heavy coverage foundation then this cream comes handy. It is lightweight and the foundation applies flawlessly and it doesn't crease. It all sounds good but then I wouldn't want to pay that much for a tiny product that I'd use as an undereye primer.
Does it live up to its claims? Yes and no... It definitely brightens up the undereye area. It is lightweight and soothing. Also it has so many promising ingredients. However, it wouldn't be ideal for someone who's looking for a heavy duty cream. I couldn't see any effects on the puffiness and my fine lines are still there, but again you can't see the benefits of a cream in a short run. One thing for sure... There are way better products in the market for that price range.
skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream is £38 for 14 g. It is vegan and cruelty-free. Would I purchase the full-size? I am not sure if I would... Some eye creams can be heavy for morning usage and this one can be a perfect morning cream. You could use this one under your makeup. That's one of the things I like about it, but I'm not sure if I would get used to the texture of it. You really need something to get the cream out of the jar. Also, I am not sure if this could be suitable for really dry skin.
Have you heard skyn Iceland before? Have you tried skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream?

I've never heard of a cream with this type of texture. It sounds so weird! It's good you got to try it before purchasing a full size so now you know what you like and don't like about it. http://carolinapage.eu
I haven't used anything similar before. Even though I like the light feeling, I am not sure if I'd get used to the texture :)

It is a good and lightweight one. I wish the texture was different.
I've only tried one product from this brand and whilst I liked it, it didn't set my world alight but I had a sample of one of the moisturisers & loved it so it's now on my "to buy" list xx Beautylymin| LuxuryFragranceBundleGiveaway
