According to my hubby, all of these sprays are “just water” without any benefits. I tried to explain that even though “Aqua” is the first ingredient, it doesn’t mean they are just “water”. In the end, I just gave up. Well, there are some things that some men won’t understand and I believe beauty is one of those things. If you also think that all those sprays are just water, then you might want to skip this post because it is all about Pixi Mists and how they improve the skin!
I can actually see my husband’s point, however, most of the skincare products have “water” as one of the main ingredients and they do miracles. I have a stash of mists which I use in rotation and even “multi-misting” and I can see a big improvement. Multi-misting is the new hype now, which I will possibly talk about in another post. When my skin is lacking hydration, glow or moisture mists come handy. They are good for feeling refreshed without having to go through a long skincare routine. One of the things I like most about the mists is you can apply it over your makeup, they are fuss-free!
Since the summer is approaching, adding a little bit of hydration and glow is always a good idea. I always carry one in my bag, you never know when you’d need it, right? Before I start mumbling more, let’s get to the main topic… Let’s talk about Pixi Mists!
Pixi Mists
Glow Mist
Let’s start the talk with a repurchase. Pixi Glow Mist is enriched with 13 natural oils as well as hydrating and soothing propolis (bee glue), aloe vera and fruit extracts. Love this mist! I use it on days I wear no makeup to boost the glow. I used it under my foundation as a lightweight moisturising primer and over my it to enhance the dewiness. There are similar mists in my routine, however, this one gives the most hydration and glow by far. You can add it to your skincare routine and apply it before the serum. I have dehydrated skin so I am always on the lookout for products to add hydration and a glow to my otherwise dull looking skin and this glow mist works on that. If you have a dull complexion, this definitely will change the way your skin looks. It somehow blurs out the skin and gives you a glowing and softer looking complexion. It helps my skin look glowy without looking greasy. Also, love the subtle botanical scent!
Would I recommend it? Yes, I would as I really like the healthy glow it gives. If you want the glow, add this to your shopping list! Pixi Glow Mist is £16 for 80 ml.
Makeup Fixing Mist
I will start with a complain… This is one of the products that I like but can’t use it properly, what’s the reason? Well, I think I have the faulty sprayer. When I spray, the mist isn’t fine at all, but coming out in spurts. I am still using it and trying to distribute the mist with a beauty blender/hand, however, it is not ideal. Does it help my makeup last? Even after using a beauty blender, it still helps the makeup last and I can imagine it would give a better result if it didn’t come out in spurts.
Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist aims to prolong makeup wear and keeps it from moving, melting, and settling into fine lines or pores. It is enriched with the rose water and green tea which balances, comforts and protects the skin. Since it is infused with rose water, it has a subtle rose scent. If you don’t like the rosy scents, you possibly won’t be fond of it. I have combination/oily skin so I wasn’t expecting it to improve the wear time, however, it actually makes a difference. It would be more suitable for dry/normal skins and definitely improve the wear time and give soft focus finish. I’ve used better fixing mists, but this is in the good list too. Dewy skin is one of the trends of the year and this fixing spray will definitely give you that while keeping your makeup from moving.
Would I recommend it? If you have extremely oily face then I wouldn’t recommend it as a fixing mist but a mist to add glow. Other then that, I would recommend it. Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist is £16 for 80 ml.
Hydrating Milky Mist
Hydrating Milky Mist is the latest addition to my skincare routine. When M&S had an offer of buy 2 Pixi skincare products and get Pixi Nourishing Sleep Mask for free, I couldn’t miss the offer and grabbed two products that I was curious about and one of them is this hydrating milky mist. Wish I had added it to my routine earlier! I tend to have combination/oily skin, depending on the season. I can feel when my skin is lacking hydration. On those days, I make sure to bath myself with hydrating products. Now, it is good to have this one in my routine. You feel the instant surge of hydration with the first spray! Hydrating Milky Mist is packed with hyaluronic acid which is used for attracting water and maintaining the moisture levels. I use this over cleaned skin after my toner and before my serum and I absolutely love it. It is refreshing and soothing.
Would I recommend it? Yes! It would be suitable for any skin type. Especially in summer days, it is good to add a little more hydration to the skin. Pixi Hydrating Milk Mist is £18 for 80 ml.
If you are interested in trying new face mists, I would recommend adding Pixi mists to your list. Especially in summer, having minimal makeup but still having that healthy glow can be a game changer. They are reasonably priced and you get your money’s worth. Next on the buy list is Pixi Sun Mist! Since there are a few holidays planned, it would be good to have a quick sun protection packed in the bag.
Have you tried any of those Pixi Mists? What’s your favourite face mist that you would highly recommend?
