When it comes to hair care, I prefer to keep things on the cheaper side. There are many good and affordable hair care products which delivers. If you have straight and fine hair, you probably know the struggle of keeping the hair in shape… You need to apply tons of hair spray to keep the waves and sometimes at the end of the day your hair ends up looking flat again. All you need is a product that will help to keep your hair in place and not make it crunchy. Is it easy to find? Of course it is… Percy & Reed Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hair Spray might actually be what you are looking for.
I like TRESemmé products and it is one of the brands that I can rely on. Most of the hair sprays I use are from them and they are usually around £3-5 range for a big 500 ml! When I can find cheap products like that in any supermarket, I don’t bother to look for more expensive alternatives.
Last’s year’s M&S Advent Calendar gave Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm and this year’s pick is Percy & Reed Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hair Spray. I like their balm and it is really good for tiny flyaway so, I had high hopes with that hair spray as well. Percy & Reed Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hair Spray promises to give your hair strong hold which is completely invisible to the eye, leaving the hair looking utterly natural and impeccably well-behaved… So promising!
How good is it? It comes out in a ultra fine mist which is humidity resistant. It will ensure that the hair will look natural, whatever the weather is… Good, isn’t it? It actually holds well. Some sprays might leave residues even after washing the hair, luckily this one washes out easily. It keeps the hair in place and brushes out easily, which is what I want from a hair spray. One thing I can’t handle with the hair sprays is the crunchy/stiff feeling, luckily this one gives soft feel and really nice shine. It has such a lovely light smell as well.
I have fine hair and flyaway and I want hair products to help me control my hair. This one gives firm hold and natural look without the crunchiness and stickiness. If you are after a product that will rigid, this might not be the best product for you. You should check ultimate hold hair sprays for that. One thing you should be careful about is, since it comes out as a really fine mist, just make sure not to apply too much! I could easily say, it is one of the best hair sprays I’ve ever used.
Percy & Reed Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hair Spray is £12 for 250 ml or 50 ml for £5. Small size comes handy for the handbag! It is definitely more expensive than the hair sprays I use. It is a good hair spray, however, it is not extraordinary(I wasn’t expecting that)… If you feel like treating yourself a good hair spray, add this to your list… It surely won’t disappoint you.
Have you tried any Percy & Reed products? How much are you willing to pay for a hair spray?
