When you know you will be actively walking around, hiking and exploring the nature, makeup should be the last thing you would want to worry. Also, it is good to have minimal to no makeup once in a while to let our skin breathe, right? Nature getaway is one of those times that you can carry as little as makeup possible in your bag. I hope you feel the same way about it. When you think about your makeup bag, what would you include in your nature getaway edit?
Even if you’re one of those people who can’t go out without a touch of makeup, it is best to play safe when you’re in nature. Low maintenance products should be the priority products to pack, always have products that you can rely on. It might not be the best time for trying something new. You never know when it would start pouring down, especially in the UK.
Let’s start with the one step that I hardly skip, eyebrows… Sparse eyebrows might not be the best looking and confidence boosting feature, so no matter where I go, I make sure to pack brow pencil, brow pomade and trusty Pixi Brow Tamer. I don’t want to look at the photos and wonder what happened to my brows!
Waterproof mascara can be one handy product to pack. Even though you can always check the weather forecast, there’s always a chance of rain or fog on the top of the mountains. At least a waterproof mascara can save you from having panda eyes. If you’re not a fan of waterproof mascaras, then think about the alternatives. Maybe pack your best mascara which you know that would smudge as little as possible or a clear mascara. Also if you pack a waterproof mascara, don’t forget to pack waterproof makeup remover… Don’t make the same mistake I did!
I prefer to pack a light coverage foundation which is easy to build up and long lasting. At least when I decide to add a touch of colour, then I would have something. NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint comes handy, it is lightweight and it is buildable as well, it is a product that I could rely on.
Since low maintenance is my priority when it comes to packing lip products, I prefer to pack neutral, easy to wear lip products. Nothing like dark berries or bright pinks. Eating, drinking and then not having a proper place to check your makeup… Go for nude, MLBB products.Face palettes are good for capsule makeup bag. They have everything you need to finish off your makeup and they don’t take much space, also you don’t need to pack extra 4-5 products thanks to those palettes.

Last but not least, eyeshadows! If you know that there might be a chance of going out, then you might want to add something small in your bag. My eyeshadow pick goes with my makeup bag theme, less is more. Tiny Smashbox eyeshadow trio has everything I need, it is neutral and it is low maintenance. When you go to nature getaway, do you pack many eyeshadows or you are a minimalist like me?
These are the products I basically packed when I had nature getaway. To be honest, it is good not to worry about your makeup and just enjoy the moment. Sometimes we should just let ourselves be free and not give a damn about anything.
What would you include in your nature getaway makeup bag edit? Is there any product you must always have it in your makeup bag? Do you prefer to have minimal/no makeup when you’re in nature?
