Do you care about your nails as much as you care about your makeup or skincare? I assume most of us don’t do anything more than applying nail polish. Good looking nails can boost your confidence, so why don’t we see nail polish as an accessory? Getting out of the comfort zone and trying new things, new colours can be a good start. Metallic or pastel nails, which nail polish trends will you be willing to try out this year?
Nail Polish Trends for 2016
These are the nail polish trends for spring/summer 2016 you should definitely try out…
Pastels
Every year trends changes, however, there are some staples that always stay the same like pastel nails in spring&summer. It is time to leave behind berries and burgundies and brighten up the manicure routine. If you can’t decide on which pastel colours to go for, check Pantone Colour of the Year, beside Rose Quartz and Serenity, there are so many pretty colours like Lavender Fog and Sphinx, which is like a mixture of grey and pink.
Nude Nails
Nude nails are always on the spot light. They don’t only look elegant, they are also a safe choice. Most of the time chipped nail polish won’t be noticed and nude nails are perfect if you are going for a natural look.
Colourful French
Colourful french is one of the major trends this year! Vibrant tips might not be your thing, but this trend deserves a shot. If you like to keep things simple and always have french manicure, then why don’t do try to add colour to it? Applying bright colours on the tips and keeping the rest plain gives such a beautiful and different finish. If you didn’t try it yet, you should definitely think about it!
Metallic Nails
Metallic nails used to be a big thing some years ago and now they are back again. Gold, silver, chrome… There are so many alternatives. If you get tired of pastel nails, pick a duochrome nail polish like Wet n Wild Gray’s Anatomy. Once in awhile change is good, it makes things better!
A Little Bit of Glitter
Adding a little bit of glitters to life can be fun. Who wouldn’t like shiny sparkling nails? Either you apply it as a top coat or on its own, definitely give glitters a try! Pinks and blues can be the perfect picks for spring&summer nail polish trends!
Matte Nails
Matte nails are not for everyone, some love it and some absolutely hate it. If you want to give this trend a try, but you don’t want to get a matte nail polish, it is best to pick up a matte top coat then you can turn every nail polish into matte one and if you don’t like it then you can just stop using it. Instead of applying matte nail polish to every nail, only applying it to ring fingers look really cool.
