MAC Nutcracker Sweet Copper Face Compact
Out of all the products in MAC Nutcracker Sweet Holiday collection and there's one that stands out the most. I guess you already know which one it is! It's always out of stock but is MAC Nutcracker Sweet Copper Face Compact really worth the hype?
I am not really into holiday releases and limited editions aren't my thing. I always think what if I really like it and I can't repurchase it, does it even make sense? There's one thing I couldn't resist... MAC Nutcracker Sweet Copper Face Compact! One of the main reasons I wanted it was Whisper of Gilt, also that festive packaging.
MAC Nutcracker Sweet Copper Face Compact contains Whisper of Gilt Extra Dimension Skinfinish and Pleasure Model Extra Dimension Blush. Two beautiful colours in one palette! You probably heard about all the hype about Whisper of Gilt. It was first released back in 2012 and it's never in stock so this face compact brought back this gorgeous highlighter.
Whisper of Gilt is soft gold highlighter with a metallic finish which gives a luminous look. There's nothing not to like about it. The glow it gives will make you fall in love with it. It still has that nice glow even after 6-7 hours wear time which is pretty good. Pleasure Model is a peach brown and described as "soft terracotta with pearl and a satin finish", it gives subtle sheen without being so shiny. Even if you prefer matte blushes, this would still be something you should try out. It starts fading after 4-5 hours so the longevity of this is not as good as the highlighter.
If you have fair skin then you might find Pleasure Model a little dark, however, you could always blend it to get it to your taste. The texture of Extra Dimension range is so soft, buttery and easy to work with. It has like liquid-powder consistency. You only need little to work with.
Let's talk about the packaging... I prefer simple and clean packaging, however, with this one it was love at first sight. Isn't it just gorgeous? Fuschia&burgundy stripes with embroidered gold accents, I haven't seen anything similar before. It also has magnetic closure so you don't have to worry about not closing it properly.
Overall, this palette is everything you might expect from a holiday release. It is festive and it gives you the glow. If you are still unsure about it, just try it in the store before it is too late!

I'm just the same when it comes to limited edition, I'm always afraid I would rely on the product too much and would be disappointed not to be able to repurchase it! This palette was the one thing I wanted most from the Nutcracker Sweet collection too! I went to M.A.C a few days ago and it was sold out. So I just had to put it on my Snapchat and leave empty handed haha! Both the highlight and blush shade are complete perfection and would look great all year round. Lighter version is also pretty, I wanted whisper of gilt that's why I had to pick this one :) It is a little bit dark for me as well but yeah I'm sure in Summer it would be better.

The Nutcracker collection is so beautiful! The packaging, the design of the products... MAC really nailed it with this one. This compact is gorgeous. Both shades are really wearable, I especially like the blush shade, even though it doesn't last as long as the highlighter. This is so cute, I love the print on the blushes! The colours look like they will give you a natural flush and glow! I still don't have anything from mac yet and everytime I read a mac post I get a little bit sad! haha! :P
Pigmentation is really good, my swatch photos didn't turn out right (lack of natural light) so I couldn't put it. I don't have many mac products, I try to limit my purchases :D
