Let's Talk Lip Balm

Winter is approaching and with changing weather I can feel my skin acting up. It gets sensitive due to the cold and also really dry. It is not only my skin that gets dry, but also my lips. That's why I am using lip balm all the time during this season. Even though Autumn might be my favourite season, I just don't like how it affects my whole system.
My lips get dry no matter which season we are in, however, in A/W it reaches to the top level and if I go a day without applying a lip balm then at the end of the day my lips will be as dry as Sahara! One of the first things I do when I get up in the morning is to apply lip balm. I just prepare a good base for the lipstick, otherwise it won't look good but patchy. Do you also have that problem too? So I could say that lip balm is always a must for me.
I mostly use the same lip balm brands instead of hunting for new ones, I rely on my trusted lip balms! I listed my top three lip balms, they are really budget friendly...
Burt's Bees Natural Lip Balm
Burt's Bees is one of my favourite brands. I like how their products are all natural. I've always used beeswax for years and for a change I picked up pomegranate one. First of all, I must say one thing I am disappointed about. I really don't like the scent of it, as it smells so synthetic and doesn't feel natural at all and to be honest it kinda made me regret purchasing it. However, the good thing about it is it's like beeswax, my lips feel well mousturised and don't get dry at all as long as I apply it every 2-3 hours. It is supposed to give some colour to the lips, however, I don't think that it does. Even when swatching it on my hand, there wasn't any colour at all!
Nivea Fruity Shine Cherry
I have been using Nivea lip balms for years and I guess it was the first lip balm brand I ever got. It is one of the cheapest lip balms on the market. It is so mousturising and also keeps the lips so soft. I don't really like scented skincare products, but with lip products I am somewhat fine with it as long as it is not too strong. This one has such a sweet cherry scent and it gives reddish tint to your lips, so you can actually wear it when you want a natural effortless look.
Vaseline Lip Therapy
I am a huge fan of Vaseline products! I just really like how soft my skin/lips feels after using their products. I remember when I was a kid, I used to hate the feeling of it. It has thick consistency like original Vaseline and once you apply it you can be sure that your lips are well protected. It sinks into the lips in short time, makes your lip soft and leaves such a nice shine. I wouldn't suggest you to wear a lipstick after applying this lip balm, because applying a lipstick won't be easy. I always gently wipe it whenever I wear lipstick. I like the packaging of it, even though it might not be the most hygienic way of having a lip balm.
These are my 3 picks that I've been using a lot. Lip care doesn't have to be expensive, it is good to know that there are so many affordable options and these are 3 of them! Have you used any of these lip balms? What is your favourite lip balm?

Oh, that is a bummer. Not allowed to order beauty products? Horrible thought. But as you are coming to Germany sooner or later, you will be able to try it.

I`m the same, I generally have dry lips but in the colder months it becomes a joke. Interestingly enough, my sister went to her dermatologist recently and she recommended Aquaphor as probably one of the most effective lip balms out there. Other brands such as Burt's Bees are just wax, and really only cover your lips without actually healing them. (Sort of a bummer, because I love using Burt's Bees!) -Alex http://anorthernlightblog.blogspot.com
Really? I didn't know that... Looks like I will have to look for a product which will also be healing my lips :)

These are great choices. I actually tried them all but my favorite is Burt's Bess :) I also use the classic Chaptick sometimes STYLE VANITY
Burt's Bees is great, I like their products :)
I really love Burts bee's as a brand so it's a shame you thought it smelt synthetic, always disappointing when the brand is known for being natural. Sounds great for nourishing the lips though! Elle www.theellenextdoor.com xx
That scent really put me off even tho my lips feel so soft after applying it x
My favourite drugstore have to be the Burt Bee's and Carmex <3 although going a little higher..love Rev de Miel too XO
I want to try Nuxe one, I've heard a lot about it x
My favorite has to be thebodyshops aloe lip balm it has literally healed my lips over night I love that stuff, but unfortunately its been discontinued what a shame. Sam || Beautydetour
That's shame, I hate it when a good product is discontinued.
I loved Burt's Bees lip balm..... www.crazyaboutcolors.com
Me too!
I love anything cherry! the Vaseline one sounds amazing <3 Serene | I Am Serene L
Cherry lip balm is great, it smells lovely and gives a nice colour <3
Lip Balm is a must have these season! Love your picks. http://www.racheldinh.com
Definitely a must!
My lips are so dry the past couple of days, I am constantly applying all sorts of lip balms but nothing is helping. I've never tried Burts Bees so maybe I will give that a try next x Beauty with charm
I have to apply it constantly otherwise it gets so dry and hurts a lot! x
I love using natural products, and I don't mind if lip balms don't have color, so the Burt's Bees natural lip balm could work for me :) Thank you for sharing these! xo, Esther http://bubblesther.com
Natural products are great, I like them :) x
I love Vaseline!! I don't think anything beats it for myself. I get super dry lips in the winter and baby lips or vaseline is my number one go to product :) Ramsha | Rose xxx
Vaseline is great and I've been using it for year :) x
I love Burt's Bees! Carmex is my other favourite but I really don't like Vaseline! My lips get so dry too, this time of year is awful, I go through so much more lip balm! Danielle's Beauty Blog
I keep applying lip balm all the time, otherwise my lips get so dry. It is really annoying! x
i use normally oes lip balm, you should try it out ;) http://www.queenhorsfall.com/
I have it on my wish list, I will definitely give it a try :)
try the burt's bee grapefruit flavor - i like it! but then again i am biased.. i like gradpefruit everything :P
Grapefruit is one that I haven't tried yet, I will check it out :)
I love Burt's Bees! My favourite is their mango chapstick, but I also like the vanilla and the honey too.
Honesy is my favourite :)
Absolutely love burt's bees!! Great post :) xx http://talesoftwoblog.blogspot.com.au/
Thank you :) x
Lip Balm is a must have especially during Winter. Burt's Bees is a great brand and very natural. My favourite balm at the moment is from Clarin's. www.shehearts.net x
Clarin's has great products, I should try out more products from them! x
Clarins are really impressive :) I sampled a few of their products recently on www.shehearts.net. Really love their Jolie Rouge lipsticks, they're gorgeous. Laura x x
I can't use vaseline as it irritates my lips causing a multitude of problems, but I adore EOS. Angie x | Chocolate & Lipstick || UK Beauty and Lifestyle Blog
That's bad! I still haven't tried EOS lip balms x
My lips have a tendency to get really dry as well, it sucks. I've been using the creme de rose lip balm by Dior but it's been discontinued in Australia apparently so I might try one of these when my Dior one runs out :) www.thesundaymode.blogspot.com.au
I hate it when a product is discontinued especially if it was my favourite :) x
I go through lip balm like crazy in the winter. Right now I've been putting argan oil cream on my lips instead. Lasts much longer Diana | http://www.dianavilic.com
