Let's Talk Eyeliner

Eyeliners are probably one of the essentials in your makeup bags. Black, colourful, waterproof... There are many options to pick from. With a good eyeliner, you can create such great and long lasting looks. Who doesn't like cat eyeliner right?
In winter I might get the job done with just eye pencil as it stays on quite a long time. However, in summer I surely need an eyeliner. Since I use eyeliners frequently I am always on the hunt for a good, reliable and affordable one. For me it is important that eyeliner won't smudge and will be long lasting, because it is not easy to refresh eyeliner like how it is with lipsticks or powder. So these are the criteria I look for when I purchase eyeliners. Here are my 3 favourite eyeliners…
Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner
I've been using it since it first came out. It is a really good eyeliner, it is so pigmented and also applying it is so easy. The tip of the eyeliner is not thin (it looks more like a permanent marker) so you can just apply it quickly and you're ready to go. You can either apply thin or thick, it all depends on how you like it and which end of the liner you use. The only problem I have with it is that it claimed to be waterproof, but I can't really say that's completely true as I could wipe it off with my fingers easily. It might just be me as my eye lids tend to get oily in hot summer days, however, I don't think it is that easy to remove it.
Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner
I got this was the liner, because it is really suitable for creating different widths. You can easily create a really fine line, if you are not really into having well defined thick lines. It is all in the title, precise lines aren't hard to achieve with this. I guess this is the only thing I like about this product. Beside that, I don't think it is pigmented enough. I just can't get that really black colour and also it smudges so easily. Who would want that?
Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner
I like S&G products, so I had to give this one a try. I can definitely say that is so easy to apply it with this one than the other two. Also, like Maybelline eyeliner, you can create fine lines so easily. Why not give a bold look a try too? This one is also really pigmented, it is coal black. Just my type of my liner... It doesn't smudge easily, which makes it even better. It even lasts for long time in hot summer days.
These are my favourite three pencil eyeliners. I would definitely prefer Soap&Glory more, but the other two are also really good except some cons. What are your favourite budget eyeliners? What is important for you when you choose an eyeliner?

It is really good, you should definitely give it a try xx
I always use these "felt tip" eyeliners, it never looks perfect when I try to apply gel liner with a brush... (: I'm using a waterproof one by Catrice right now. Nati xx www.simplyartdicted.com
I suck at using gel liner, it just doesn't look right. I should keep practicing until I get it right but till then these are my besties haha :) xx
I use Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid liner, which is fab but you haven't got much control so I may have to invest in one of these "felt tip" liners! Lots of love, Marshmallow Skye xoxo http://marshmallowskies28.blogspot.co.uk/
I like liquid liners too but these are easier to apply, that's why I keep using them xx
I use collection 24hr liner and it's one of my favourites. Kat Von D's tattoo liner is fab too :) Elle www.theellenextdoor.com xx
I used collection one and I really like it, I just need to repurchase it :) I have seen many good reviews about Kat Von D's liner, if I see it in the store I will try it xx
lovely eyeliner review I never knew soap and glory do makeup I might try them if I can find them at my next visit to the drug store http://itsjustwinnie.blogspot.co.uk/
Thank you. They do and they have some great products, just give them a try you might like them xx
I really wish more Soap & Glory makeup was here in Canada, the liner looks great! I'm a fan of the Tom Ford, Joe Fresh and L'Oreal liners... but still looking for my favourite! Erin | Erin and Katherine Talk Beauty
If you ever get a chance, give it a try, you might really like it. I am still looking for better ones until then it will be on the top xx
I haven't tried any of these, but I really like the sound of the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner. The budget eyeliner I have used for years now is L'Oreal's Superliner in black. - www.veebzboo.com
I've wanted to give L'Oreal one a try but I kept forgetting. The next time I am at the store, I will definitely check it xx
I've been using dark blue pencil eyeliner since 9th grade and refuse to change haha. My favourite black felt-tip liner is definitely L'Oreal (sometimes you crave a little cat eye, ya know?). xx, Pia http://gymbagsandjetlags.com
I guess I am never brave enough to try colurful eyeliners, I so love the look of it on others but too afraid to try it myself xx
I have not worn eyeliner in years! These look like fun! kelseybang.com
They are fun to use :) x
I am using Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner With Brush which is fantastic on the beginning but after a month / month and half I don't know why gel is getting dry (the tube is closed all the time) and it's difficult to make straight, smooth lines! It's a shame to throw it away when the gel tube is actually full! Well... I think I will have to try one that you recommend - Soap and Glory one sounds interesting! Thanx www.fashion-utopia.com
I can't make a straight line with gel liners, I am still trying. I guess it is the main issue with the gel liners, they tend dry. Maybe put them under the sun and see how it goes :) x
I have to say I haven't tried any of these options yet as I continue to repurchase an old favourite of mine (Loreal Superliner) but I quite like the look of the Soap & Glory one so might try that next x Beauty with charm
I haven't tried L'Oreal one yet, which I kept postponing. Next time I will check it out xx
I also recently discovered the Soap and Glory pen liner despite it being in my collection for ages, but it's by far my favourite ^_^ it's so easy to use too which I really appreciate! Iqra |The Blushing Giraffe x
S&G is really good, easy application and perfect black :) xx
I've only ever used S&G Supercat, I am useless at eyeliner and it just makes the whole process easy... And makes me think I am actually good at it - when I'm really not! Haha. Downside is it isn't waterproof, I get hayfever and my wings melt off, pain in the hoop :( Http://www.makeerinover.blogspot.com
Eyeliners are so tricky. Sometimes I can get a perfect flick and the next time can't even apply it properly. So you are not alone :) I got Rimmel one because it's waterproof but I can just wipe it off easily so I think it is just the title. xx
I really love Supercat, it was a surprise for me! Annabel ♥ Mascara & Maltesers
It is really good x
They look really good although I am not good using them... Would you like to follow each other in GFC and Instagram (@travelera.es) ? let me know to follow you! xxx www.travelera.es
They are good, you should just practice. Practice makes perfect :) x
Ooh, I've heard such good things about the Supercat liner! Must check it out :) www.vibrantbeautyblog.com
Definitely! It is good x
I've never used any of these. My favorite eyeliner is STILA Stay All Day, which does exactly what it claims and is an intense black. http://carolinapage.eu
That sounds really good, I haven't tried that one
Love the reviews on those lines, I will def check out the Supercat one as I have been using Stila ones thus far. ~xo Sheree http://poshclassymom.com IG: @poshclassymom
You should check it, it is such a good product x
I love a good eyeliner comparison! ;) I like the idea of the "permanent marker" looking pen tip from Rimmel, although I wonder if it's more difficult to make that reeeeeeaaallllly thin line when doing detailed line work. It's funny you mention you don't like the Maybelline one. I tried it too, and hated how easily it smudged. It also bled into fine lines on my hands when I swatched it. That already was a warning sign for me. You're right, I don't see who would want it.. I returned mine!! I've also heard SO MUCH about Supercat. I haven't tried it but feel like I may give it a try soon. It seems that every time I go into Sephora I forget about it!! I NEEEEED to remember. LOL. Much Love!! -Stephanie Eva
Maybelline has great tip, it is perfect for really fine lines but the formula is not good enough! Such a big disappointment. Rimmel one is good but applying eyeliner is quicker with Supercat. You should definitely give it a try, you will not be disappointed this time :) xx
Eyeliner is like clothes for my face I can't do without it. I love the review definitely going to try these specially that Maybelline and Rimmel ones. BTW your pictures are stunning. Sam || Beautydetour

I will be trying L'Oreal one as everyone seems to like it. I like S&G, it is really nice xx
I've not tried any of these, actually! I'm curious about the Soap & Glory one, though, have heard good things. It's funny but I actually use pencil liner more in the Summer and liquid liners more in the Winter. My HG's are the Kat Von D Trooper liner and Stila Stay All Day. :-) Beauty Isles | An Island Girl's Beauty and Lifestyle Blog
My skin gets really oily during summer so eyeliners work better than pencil :) Kat Von D looks gorgeous and might give it a try when I see it :) xx
I always use eyeliner but have not tried these ones yet. I like fine linesm so I might get the one from Maybelline. Enjoy the weekend! wws.rping2spring.com
Hope you like it. Enjoy your weekend xx

I have to admit everyone has the s&g one yet I've still not got around to using it! The liner feutre is a good one by bourjois. Charlotte // charbeautypicks.blogspot.com
You will like it if you give it a try :) x
I loooove eyeliners - they're wonderful and I wear a little bit everyday just to define the eyes and give them a really lovely look as it's perfect for simple makeup and also teamed up with a smokier eye! Layla xx http://www.sprinklesofstyle.co.uk
Definitely agree with you. Eyeliners are great for definition and looks gorgeous xx
I have just literally posted about one of fave liquid eyeliner (yesterday), it's a drugstore product, very affordable and I can't get enough. Love the ones you listen & the review on them - I love reading reviews!! <3 xox Nadia // http://mielandmint.blogspot.co.uk/
I checked your post, it sounds like a good product. I might give it a try xx
Some good eyeliners here! I currently use L'Oreal's Superliner but I am on the look out for something new, I think I'll try out the Soap & Glory one!xx www.honeypotblogs.com
And I'll try out L'Oreal as so many people talking about it, it must be good x
Thanks for the review, it's just in time! Have been looking for a new eyeliner. Would love to try S&G www.okbutfirstcoffee.com
Give it a try, you will like it :) x
I haven't tried any of these eyeliners before, I will have to give them a go as I am rubbish with it!:) Emma xx http://emmasworld31.blogspot.co.uk/
Practice makes perfect so keep on trying :) xx
I don't use an eyeliner much, but I use the Kat Von D at the moment! Whenever I run out I'll check out the Soap&Glory one! XO Maariasan.com
When I see Kat Von D then I will give it a try. Apparently it is a great one xx
Really wanna try the soap & glory! It's sad that the Maybelline Master Precise smudges so easily but the Asian version, the Maybelline Hypersharp, is sooo so good! Stephanie | Beauty Bucketeer
Didn't know that there is an Asian version (googled it and it looks so good), wish Master Precise is as good then xxx
I need to get a new eyeliner ugh! I think I'm gonna go for the maybelline one, I suppose it isn't expensive which is good :D Go Prada Yourself.
All of these eyeliners aren't really expensive but also they are not bad :) xx
I love an ultra thic pointy liner but find they always dry up on me! The Maybelline one looks ace! I may try it. Im currently using scandaleyes ultra fine and it smudges and is drying up but was amazing the first week! hahaha www.stylelobster.com
S&G is ok until now, it didn't dry up. I had the same problem with scandaleyes, it was great at first then it was such a struggle to apply it later on. I like the thin liner of Maybelline but it just seem to smudge easily, it might be because I have oily skin and eye lids. xx
I really want to try Supercat! At the moment I use Urban Decay's Ink For Eyes which is really good though! Pen eyeliners are totally the way forward - I can't get on with pencil and rarely have the patience for liquid, so it's a great compromise! Milly // www.mini-adventures.com
I haven't used UD however read many great reviews so apparently it is a really good one. Pen eyeliners are the best and quickest. It is such a struggle for me to apply liquid xx
Love the eyeliners! God bless, XO, Claire Http://www.littlemissfashionqueen.com
Me too :) xx
