Gatineau Melatogenine AOX Probiotics Advanced Rejuvenating Cream is an advanced anti-aging cream which might be one luxurious product to treat yourself. It is anti-aging, it is hydrating… It promises everything you might want from a cream.

M&S Advent Calendar is great for discovering luxurious brands. I will be honest, I might have been living under a rock, I haven’t heard about Gatineau brand before. When I saw that brand, the first thing I did was Google it! I wasn’t too happy to see the hefty price tag, but hey most of the time good things come with a big price tag.

Gatineau Melatogenine AOX Probiotics Advanced Rejuvenating Cream is an advanced anti-aging cream which is designed for skin showing the advanced signs of ageing. This rich moisturiser promises to deeply hydrate the skin whilst rewinding the effects of time. It is targeting the early signs of lines, wrinkles and reduced elasticity. All good, isn’t it?

Gatineau Melatogenine AOX Probiotics Advanced Rejuvenating Cream is thick, I could say a little lighter than Nivea Creme. You need to massage in well otherwise it won’t spread evenly. Even though the cream is on the heavier side, it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin. It leaves the skin feeling softer and smoother. If you apply it in the mornings, you could easily skip the primer because it kind of gives the primer effect. I believe 15 ml is still good enough to give the first impression. Since it is a really rich moisturiser, you only need a tiny amount.

Active ingredients:
Mélatogénine – reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating cellular renewal.
Probiotics – stabilise, rebalance and boosts skin’s natural radiance.
Anti-oxidants – protects the skin from free-radicals
Marine collagen – reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles
Avocado oil and shea butter – nourishes the skin.
Orchid extracts – Helps to smooth the skin.

The ingredient list is definitely interesting and has so many promising ingredients. According to the website, powerful anti-oxidants and probiotics nourish the skin for a boost in radiance. Maybe the combination of all these ingredients can open the door for the eternal beauty and help the skin rejuvenate day by day, help it become firmer and smoother, for a younger-looking skin.

Recommended use? It is recommended to use twice a day, morning and evening, after cleansing the face. I’d recommend to skip it when you have a good skin day. When my skin is on the drier side, I think it works better. When my skin is well hydrated and moisturised, then I opt for something like Caudalie Vine[Activ] 3-in-1 Moisturiser because I find this cream a little heavier. It might be due to the maturity of the skin since it’s for the mature skin. I believe 15 ml is still good enough to give the first impression. Since it is a really rich moisturiser, you only need a tiny amount.

How good is it? I could say it is a good moisturising product. It makes my skin smooth as well as making it feel well hydrated when it is on its worst day. I can’t talk about all the effects of it as I think using it for a few weeks is not long enough to see the anti-aging effects of the product, however, the ingredients are really promising. If you’re interested in the cream then it is best to request a sample and give it a go. I’ll definitely carry on using it to make up my mind about it, maybe it’d make its way to my wishlist!

It has light fragrance. I prefer the unscented skincare products, however, I don’t find this overwhelming so it is all fine.

Gatineau Melatogenine AOX Probiotics Advanced Rejuvenating Cream is £86 for 50 ml.I know it is on the expensive side for an everyday cream. It is dedicated to women age 40 and over. I could say if you have mature skin and you want to test something new then just request a sample at the counter and give it a go. If you are younger than the 30s then I’d say pass it and go for something lighter!

Have you heard Gatineau before? If yes then how about Gatineau Melatogenine AOX Probiotics Advanced Rejuvenating Cream?
