Garnier SkinActive Micellar Gel Review

Ela·
Garnier Skin Cleansing Cleansing Micellar Gel is an effective gel cleanser for removing the makeup. If you're a fan of micellar water, then you should give this a try. Garnier Skin Cleansing Cleansing Micellar Gel cleans almost everything and leaves the skin soft and clean.

Micellar water must have been one of the most used products since it came out. It is fuss-free and most of them end up removing most of the makeup. Well after a micellar water, it is no surprise to see micellar cleansing gel, right? Garnier Skin Cleansing Cleansing Micellar Gel is one of the new products in the market which promises to remove makeup, cleanse and soothes the skin. Good isn't it?

Who doesn't like finding a drugstore gems? There are a few brands that I can rely on and Garnier is one of them. I don't like spending too much on makeup removing products and cleansers so when my trusty brands release new products, I make sure to give them a try.

Garnier Skin Cleansing Cleansing Micellar Gel is one of the products I wasn't expecting much from. Micellar gel? Garnier micellar water is one of my favourite and I was expecting something closer to that but nothing better. I think I was so wrong judging it before giving it a try. One of the things I like about it is the pump. You get the right amount of product and it is more hygienic.

It has the same consistency of a regular gel cleanser and it is perfume free, so you don't need to worry about it irritating the eyes. You only need one pump for minimal makeup and two pumps when you have something heavy. You wet your face and massage the micellar gel all over. I start with the eyes and make sure that it removes the mascara&eyeliner properly. Once I think it is enough, I wash it off with lukewarm water.

I don't know how effective it would be with waterproof mascaras but it removes Stila Stay All Day waterproof liquid eyeliner without leaving any traces. Most of the time it removes almost everything. When I have heavy makeup and 3+ coats of mascara then I go over it with micellar water to make sure in the morning I don't wake up with panda eyes.

Would I recommend it? I sure would! I'll be honest, at first it takes a while to get used to removing the makeup with foam but you get used to it and it is good. It does what it promises, so I won't complain. When you only have minimal makeup and have one of the lazy days when you don’t feel like double cleansing, you can skip double cleansing with this gel. It leaves the skin clean and feeling fresh, so there's no need to add extra step to your routine.

What do you think about removing your makeup with gel&water? What's your holy grail cleanser? Have you tried Garnier Skin Cleansing Cleansing Micellar Gel yet?

Well, I do like my micellar water, but I still don't understand the benefit of this over a water? Is it meant to replace the second cleanse? Linda, Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking

It gets foamy so it also acts as a second cleanser. When I have minimal makeup and feel lazy, then I just wash my face with this and carry on with other skincare products. It leaves almost nothing when you massage in well.

The Garnier Micellar Water is my most repurchased skincare product :) I love it to take my eye makeup off with. I will try the gel for sure as I like that it comes with a pump but I'm not sure if I'd like it better then the water :) x Mummy's Beauty Corner

It is my favourite and I think most repurchased too :) As long as I don't have too heavy makeup, with this gel I'd clean the makeup without needing the second cleanse. If you try it, I'd like to hear your thoughts :) x

I haven't tried this new product yet as I've only just realised it came out haha. However I'll probably give it a go! I'm using the Garnier Micellar Water at the moment (it's been a firm favourite for years now!) but it's almost empty, so next time I go to Boots I'll pick one of these up! It sounds quite good, and I never wear waterproof mascara so it should work just fine with me. Thanks for the review! Julia x www.juliaspeaksbeauty.blogspot.co.uk
