I am sure many of us are using BB creams from time to time, but do we actually know what makes them different than tinted moisturisers? BB cream stands for many things like blemish balm, blemish base, beauty balm and so on… If something is called beauty balm then, we should expect a lot from them, right? According to Vogue, BB should provide moisturisation, SPF protection and sheer coverage which would be perfect for minimal everyday makeup. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream is one of the good ones in the market.
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Review
Winter is always harsh to skin and we end up having dull looking skin unless you use tons of products to get healthy glow, but then it means using so many chemicals on your skin. It is really hard to get the balance, isn’t it? Luckily thanks to Asian beauty market, they brought up BB cream which would give us what we actually need.
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream has always been my favourite BB Cream. I mostly use it in winter because it keeps my skin hydrated with enough moisture and also I don’t really like dewy skin in summer (oily skin problem). When I want natural skin with minimal effort then BB cream is what I go for. It gives “your skin but better” finish, which I prefer for everyday effortless makeup! When I ran out of my regular Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream, I purchased a new one. Apparently I am not good at checking the labels properly and I ended up getting anti-aging version.
Even though I got the anti-aging one. I ended up using it a few times before giving it to my mum. It is as good as the original BB cream, but after a few hours it gets my skin oily which is understandable as it is for mature skin which is lacking of moisture.
My mum has dry skin and some visible wrinkles, I can’t really say it made any difference on the appearance of the wrinkles but her skin was looking fresh with even skin tone and according to her, her skin wasn’t dehydrated. I could say this BB cream is fragrance free, I can’t really smell anything. Like the original, it is really easy to work with; it blends in easily so if you’re in hurry, you can just apply it like your daily moisturiser, it gives natural dewy finish and doesn’t look cakey.
I don’t mind using anti-aging makeup products, but some of them just don’t give the best result on younger skin so it is important to know what your skin needs. What do you think about it?
Have you ever picked up the wrong product and ended up using it? What’s your favourite BB Cream? Have you used Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream?
