Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream

I am sure many of us are using BB creams from time to time, but do we actually know what makes them different than tinted moisturisers? BB cream stands for many things like blemish balm, blemish base, beauty balm and so on… If something is called beauty balm then, we should expect a lot from them, right? According to Vogue, BB should provide moisturisation, SPF protection and sheer coverage which would be perfect for minimal everyday makeup. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream is one of the good ones in the market.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

Winter is always harsh to skin and we end up having dull looking skin unless you use tons of products to get healthy glow, but then it means using so many chemicals on your skin. It is really hard to get the balance, isn’t it? Luckily thanks to Asian beauty market, they brought up BB cream which would give us what we actually need.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream has always been my favourite BB Cream. I mostly use it in winter because it keeps my skin hydrated with enough moisture and also I don’t really like dewy skin in summer (oily skin problem). When I want natural skin with minimal effort then BB cream is what I go for. It gives “your skin but better” finish, which I prefer for everyday effortless makeup! When I ran out of my regular Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream, I purchased a new one. Apparently I am not good at checking the labels properly and I ended up getting anti-aging version.

Even though I got the anti-aging one. I ended up using it a few times before giving it to my mum. It is as good as the original BB cream, but after a few hours it gets my skin oily which is understandable as it is for mature skin which is lacking of moisture.

My mum has dry skin and some visible wrinkles, I can’t really say it made any difference on the appearance of the wrinkles but her skin was looking fresh with even skin tone and according to her, her skin wasn't dehydrated. I could say this BB cream is fragrance free, I can’t really smell anything. Like the original, it is really easy to work with; it blends in easily so if you're in hurry, you can just apply it like your daily moisturiser, it gives natural dewy finish and doesn’t look cakey.

I don’t mind using anti-aging makeup products, but some of them just don’t give the best result on younger skin so it is important to know what your skin needs. What do you think about it?

Have you ever picked up the wrong product and ended up using it? What’s your favourite BB Cream? Have you used Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream?

There are so many variations of the same product nowadays that I always find myself checking twice the name, packaging and shade of the product I'm about to repurchase! Lovely review, I know a lot of my friends swear by the original version, I just regret there isn't more shades! http://fannyanddailybeauty.com

Not only I picked up the wrong product but also picked up medium which is dark for me. I try to check the products properly before purchasing but when I'm in hurry, I make bad purchases like this one.

Linda Libra Loca25 Feb 2016

I have used that one and while I liked the ingredients (I always check them when a product claims to be a BB cream) the lightest color was still too dark for me, so I didn't repurchase. The term BB cream is used by so many, covering different types of product that it is sometimes very hard to see if it actually is one or jus a light coverage foundation. Linda, Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking

EB
Ela BellaWorld1 Mar 2016

This one is medium and it looks dark on my skin, in order for me to use medium I need to get so much sun tan. Products like this don't have many colour options, and I'm in between shade most of the time so it is hard to use them.

Yes, and the claim that they "adapt" because they are so light actually isn't really true.

I used to really like the Garnier BB cream and I remember that it actually gives a very decent coverage. Those BB cream we can buy here are more like tinted moisturiser but the original Asian BB creams are really infused with some great ingredients to improve the appearance of the skin. x Mummy’s Beauty Corner

High-five for a BB cream! :) I also prefer a light coverage as a base and then I cover only what needs to be covered with a concealer, instead of the high-coverage all over the face. I naturally have oily skin and I've been using an SPF that's also age defying and I've been breaking out for a while now and haven't been able to pin point what it could be. Now I'm thinking it could be the SPF because as you mentioned, if it's for aging skin, it will provide more moisture and my skin doesn't need any more, haha. Thanks for sharing, girlie! Ok so I never used a tinted moisturised or a BB cream! I just find that because I have combination skin, I rarely need hydration. But this sounds like a really lovely, light products. Sometimes I want a lighter coverage when I'm wearing make-up, so I think something like this would be perfect. I also have some foundations that don't have SPF in either. I used to love Garnier BB cream but haven't worn it in years now. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent so I'm glad to hear they've removed it. Although it's a great budget option, I have found better tinted moisturisers like the bareminerals complexion rescue. x Renata | Speaking Beauty UK

I like the original one, but the scent wasn't my favourite as I prefer inscenyed skincare products. I've heard a lot about bare mineral ones. x

That's really good that you were able to give it to your mom! I don't own any bb creams, just because my skin requires a little more coverage. But I would love to use them. I like how companies are targeting products for people with different needs. Options are necessary. http://www.averysweetblog.com/

When I have a good skin day and want something light, bb creams come handy.

I currently use the Lacome Bienfait Teinte BB Cream with an SPF. I chose this one because it is labelled as non-comedogenic which is something very important to me. I used to use the Supergoop CC cream which I loved but it was just way to heavy on my skin and pore clogging, although has amazing SPF protection and gave a really smooth look to my skin. xx Lauren Blame it on Barneys www.blameitonbarneys.com

Lancôme one is on my wish list, I've heard a lot about it. I tend to stay away from heavy products most of the time as pore clogging is the last thing I want x

I've definitely picked up the wrong product and still used it. I tried an anti aging moisturizer this summer and it was a little oily on my skin, still wore it! Lol Brooke pumps and push-ups

Some anti aging products get my skin oily so it is hard to find one that won't do that.
