Most of the time I stick to my drugstore cleansing products. They are good and they don’t really hurt the budget. I think the most I’d go up to is around £20 range… unless I find something that I love and I can justify the hefty price tag. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm is one product that comes with that hefty price tag…
The first time I tried Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm was with the last year’s M&S Advent Calendar. You can read my first impression in my last year’s post. This year you get the same product on the advent calendar, 15 ml cleanser. You might think it 15 ml wouldn’t ever be enough but trust me it is enough to decide whether you like it or not. If you want a cleanser which would give you soft, smooth and hydrated skin… Carry on reading!
Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm is a thick and oil-based cleanser which you can use to clean your makeup or use it as a second cleanser. Since it is a thick balm and you need to heat it up with your fingers before applying to your skin, you don’t need much of it(size of 5p max). Once it kind of turns into oil consistency, massage it onto your skin and let it do its magic. It can clean the makeup like any other makeup removing products and leave your skin baby soft. If you use it as a cleanser, you need to make sure to have a damp muslin cloth, otherwise, you will make a big mess trying to clean it with water. It definitely gives the moisture to the skin. Skin feels softer and smoother.
Even though it is named cleansing balm, you can use for more than that! You can use it as an overnight treatment mask or a moisture balm. Just don’t forget to assess your skin because the way you should use it all depends on your skin type and what you want to achieve. If you have oily/combination skin, using this balm as a moisture balm won’t be any brainier.
I tried to remove waterproof mascara with that and the result wasn’t the best. I know it doesn’t claim to remove the waterproof mascaras, but just wanted to try. If you wear waterproof mascara, make sure to remove it with waterproof cleanser beforehand.
Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm is £39 for 100 ml. I know it is expensive, but I could say it is one of the good cleansers. It might be too heavy for warmer months and for oily skin, however, if you want to treat yourself an expensive cleanser, go for it!
