Who doesn’t like a good quality and affordable makeup products… ColourPop ticks all these boxes when it comes to affordable and good quality products. They have pretty extensive colour range and products. When there are so many positive things about ColourPop, it’s time to have the first ColourPop haul!
After seeing ColourPop products everywhere online, I know I wanted to try them but, all this shipping hassle put me off so I didn’t try any products until a while ago. I wonder why I waited that long, though, better late than never, right? I got one of every product that I had my eyes on, the hardest bit was deciding on a colour! Their colour selection is pretty good which doesn’t make it easier. I don’t like ordering makeup products online, I always make the wrong decision. Luckily, this time it wasn’t like that. I only have 4 products on my first ColourPop haul. I am sure it won’t be the last one…
ColourPop Haul
ColourPop Ultra Metallic Lip in Kween
I kept saying I wouldn’t ever try metallic lips, they are just not my cup of tea, but then I ended up changing my mind. Kween is a burnt red with gold sparkles in a metallic finish, it is a gorgeous autumnal colour. It looks sheer with one application, if you want rich metallic finish then you might need to apply two or three coats. It lasts for a few hours, which is not bad. The formula doesn’t dry down completely and it doesn’t feel uncomfortable on the lips, it is really lightweight. If you want transfer-proof lip product then this might be disappointing for you.
Metallic lip product is not something I would wear every day, however, for a night out or when I want something different, it is something I’d reach to. I’ve been wearing metallic eyes&lips duo a lot lately!
ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Frick N’ Frack
Have you got into 90’s brown lips vibe yet? If you’re in that 90’s trends then you should check out Frick N’ Frack! Frick N’ Frack is a muted, dark rosy plum with warm undertones. The formula is a little bit heavier than Ultra metallic one, but still on the lightweight side. I am sure this colour would look good on all skin tones. Colour payoff is really impressive, with one swipe you get the right amount of colour on your lips. It is opaque and it doesn’t dry down completely so there will be some transfer when you eat or drink something. It is not transfer-proof as well, however, it is still long lasting. Brown/berry lips and minimal makeup is my go-to makeup when I’m in a rush, this one gives enough colour to brighten up the makeup.
ColourPop Matte Lippie Stix in Lumière
Lumière is described as a dusty mauve pink in a matte finish. This colour is almost close to MAC Twig, however, Twig is a little bit on the brown side whereas Lumière is more on the pink side. Lumière also looks similar to MAC Brave, it is a lot darker than Brave. It has a creamy formula and the colour payoff is good. It is not the most long lasting lipstick, a few hours is still ok for a lip product. Even though it is really opaque, I wouldn’t call it matte, but semi-matte. It is not drying and it feels comfortable to wear. Other two lip products don’t have any scent, however, this one has a light vanilla scent which is fine.
ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Stereo
Stereo is kind of a burgundy/berry shade with some brown undertones and gold/pink shimmers. This colour is perfect for autumn makeup. The texture is so soft and doesn’t feel chalky. You won’t get much pigmentation with one swipe, however, it is easy to build up. For more wearable look you can use it sheer and it will still look good. Stereo is one of these colours that any skin tone can rock. One of the things I’m impressed is the staying power, it lasts over 5-6 hours on my oily lids so it is pretty good. When there are shimmers in an eyeshadow, you would expect there to be fallouts, luckily there’s almost no fallout with this eyeshadow.
This brings me to the end of my ColourPop haul. I am pretty impressed by the quality of these products. If you haven’t tried any ColourPop products, you shouldn’t wait long. Most of the ColourPop products are vegan so if you’re vegan and only want to use vegan products then you should definitely check them out!
