Burgundy Lips with Maybelline
As the Autumn is officially 2-3 days away and with the changing weather I've started to get into Autumn mood! Seeing the leaves changing colour is one of the things I love about Autumn. Leaves are dying, but they are giving us a colour festival. Having Burgundy Lips just goes so well with the autumn colours...
Burgundy Lips with Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lipstick
When I was wandering around the shops, I came across Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Burgundy. I didn't have any of these lipsticks as I thought it was all shimmery, which I don't really like. Then I saw Burgundy shade that doesn't have any shimmers in it and it is one of the shades that I don't have in my makeup collection. Straight away I swatched it and I just had to get it. It is such a gorgeous deep red autumnal shade and I didn't think I would go for these kind of shades but I am glad I did!
That lipstick is really creamy, moisturising and smooth. It is so pigmented that with one stroke you will get the full colour on your lips! It doesn't smudge easily. It stayed around four-five hours and even after hours you'd still have some red tints on the lips. It doesn't give a shiny finish, but kinda matte one, which I absolutely love. I just don't like the packaging, but the lipstick is pretty good so I could say "Don't judge a book by its cover, it is what's inside that counts".

I recently picked up a Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in burgundy but that was a lot more vampy rather than red like this one is. Although I do love the colour Burgundy so I might try this one out too, plus I might prefer the matte finish on this one :) <a href="http://velvetblush.co.uk" rel="nofollow">Velvet Blush</a>
I don't really go for shades like that however I couldn't resist this one, it just looks so pretty :) I don't really like the vampy lips as it doesn't suit me but this one is nice :) x
What a lovely shade! I don't wear red often, but I do like slightly darker reds. I like to go the foolproof way when I wear reds tho: minimal on the eyes!

Oh I've not tried any of the Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks but this one looks gorgeous! I'll definitely have to give this a swatch when I'm next at one of their stands, I love a matte finish to a lipstick. I'm usually too nervous to wear lipstick because I do a lot of talking and have a lot of hair that easily sticks to my lips in the wind, so my lipstick pretty much never stays put! I get nervous wearing brave shades like that as I work in an office full of men and I don't like to take the attention. When I get nervous I end up biting my lips then there's no lipstick left :) However I am trying to change and going for shades like that. Thank you so much xx
