When I was a kid, I loved the smell of the rose water (we always had some at home, thanks to mum). Later on, I ended up disliking the rose scented skincare products and now I’m into it again. It happens to me all the time, how about you? The reason I’m into the rose scented products is The Body Shop British Rose Petal Soft Gel Toner, even the look of it is so pretty!
Let’s wait and see how long this rose love will go on… I might remove it from my skincare routine, but I know that I won’t ever remove it from my home!
Toner is one of the skincare products that I tend to forget a lot and I can go months without adding that step to my routine. I didn’t hear about The Body Shop British Rose Petal Soft Gel Toner product until I saw it in the store. Even though the packaging is quite simple, the tiny rose petals inside the toner caught my attention and the next thing I remember, I was leaving the store with it. It was an impulse buy, luckily, it’s just £9.50!
If you are not used to the gel-like consistency, it might take a while to get used to it. Consistency is like the Ordinary hyaluronic acid. Until it is fully absorbed, skin feels slightly sticky, however, don’t let this put you off. It removes the residues of makeup and gives a protective layer. Even after the first use, you can feel the effects of it. Skin feels really soft, hydrated and well moisturised. Also, the good thing is it doesn’t have alcohol in it which means you won’t get that uncomfortable tight feeling.
If you have dehydrated/dry skin then, I’d recommend this toner. It helps with the dry patches and makes the skin feel smoother. Since it is getting colder, it would be an ideal product to add to the routine. I mostly use it in my evening routine, however, when I want extra hydration and go makeup free then add it to my morning routine as well.
It is affordable and it delivers what’s promised so if you are looking for something new, give this a try! Also, it smells good… I prefer unscented products, but I don’t mind this one, it just reminds me of my childhood!
Have you tried The Body Shop British Rose Petal Soft Gel Toner? What do you think about adding the rose to your skincare routine? Are there any similar products you would recommend for the old rose lover?
