When I was in my 20s (sounds like many years ago), Olay was one of the fancy* skincare brands I started using. They were more expensive than my trusty teenage products like Nivea, however, they’re definitely worth the extra money. I still have some Olay products in my routine and I still like them. When I had the chance to try Olay Regenerist Whip, I could not miss it and I am happy that I didn’t miss it!

Since I’ve been using Olay Regenerist Whip for a little over two weeks, I thought it would be good to share my first impression. I could have used it longer, however, when the parcel arrived, I wasn’t around and it was left to my neighbours then when I got back, they were away so I couldn’t get hold of it for at least week. Let’s talk about the cream itself before diving into my thoughts. Olay Regenerist Whip Cream is a light as air, anti-ageing moisturiser for effective firming & reduced look of wrinkles. It is formulated with advanced Amino-Peptide complex which helps reduce the appearance of fine links and wrinkles. Whip is designed for the areas like the eyes, jawline and neck which are most prone to ageing. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Air light cream which fights against the ageing… I need more of these in my life!

Olay Regenerist Whip

Texture

Olay Regenerist Whip Texture | Product Review

Let’s start with the texture… The texture of Olay Regenerist Whip is different than any other cream I have used. It is somewhere in between cream and primer and it is airy like whipped cream. It is lightweight and the best thing is, it doesn’t have/leave any greasy feeling. Whip glides on the skin smoothly and evenly.

Finish

Regenerist Whip gives such a beautiful silky smooth finish. Skin feels moisturised and well hydrated. Since I’ve been using it, I keep skipping the primers. I have never been too fan of the primers anyway so I’ve been enjoying the lesser steps. It sinks into the skin quickly and leaves a matte finish. I have been testing it with the different foundations, light/medium coverage foundations, my skin gets less shiny. I haven’t tested it with the full coverage foundation yet, however, it is on the list! It definitely improved my foundation wear time. A little goes a long way, you will love the velvety finish and baby soft skin. I wonder if it will give the same result when the weather gets warmer, that would be amazing!

How Do I use it?

Before I talk about it, it is worth mentioning that I have combination/oily skin and finding a product that doesn’t turn me into a grease ball is really hard. Since I got it, I have been using Olay Regenerist Whip day and night as the last step of my facial routine. In the evenings I mostly have heavier routines with acids and facial oils and my morning routines are way simpler. Most of the mornings I only use a gentle toner, possibly a hyaluronic acid and then finish off with a face cream. I’ve used the Whip after all those products and I have also tested it without using any other products and the results are relatively similar. After heavy night routine, my skin gets a little oilier in the mornings, mostly around the T zone, however, when I used it alone then there is no oily look in the morning. It is good to see that I could use it on its own, however, if you have dry/dehydrated skin then you might want to include extra hydrating products to your routine.

Olay Regenerist Whip First Impression and Review

After using it for over 2 weeks, would I recommend it? Yes! Even though it is not long enough to test the full potential of a product, it still gives a reasonable first impression and I must say it impressed me. When you use it under makeup, it definitely minimises the appearance of the fine lines around the eye area. I need to use it at least for a full month to check the anti-ageing claims of the cream.

Olay Regenerist Whip is £34.99 for 50 ml, on offer at the moment for £19.99. It is reasonably priced for a product that delivers. Also, could we appreciate the elegant red packaging? I like nice packaging and this one definitely wins in that category!

Have you tried Olay Regenerist Whip or any other Olay products? What’s your favourite cream which delivers?
