If you could only use one skincare product for your entire life, what would be your pick? Would it be a cleanser, serum, moisturiser or some other product… One thing is for sure that it wouldn’t be an easy decision. Would you opt for a resurfacing and firming lotion like Alpha-H Liquid Gold?

I am not sure what my pick would be, but I know that I would go for a multi-purpose product. Maybe a serum or heavy duty moisturiser. I hope we won’t have to make a decision like that because I know that I would hate my pick eventually.

For so long, I preferred physical exfoliating over everything else. I thought those tiny particles in the cleansers would help my skin to renew itself. As you might guess, of course, I was wrong. Physical exfoliators might give you what you want temporarily but in a long run, you need more than that. Alpha-H Liquid Gold had been on my wish list for a long time, I just wasn’t sure how it would affect my skin. 50 ml is a decent size to test the product and decide whether I like it or not.

Let’s talk about Alpha-H Liquid Gold… It’s one of the hyped product in the blogging world, some of my favourite bloggers swear by it, but it’s really worth the hype? What they promise is big, “Alpha-H Liquid Gold visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, hyper-pigmentation, sun damage, acne, scarring and breakouts.“. Glycolic acid and liquorice are some of the main ingredients. Apparently, this duo makes the whole difference on the skin. If you want to learn more about the ingredients then, I’d highly recommend you checking this website.

It is recommended to use every other night as a night treatment. How do I use it? I use it every other night as recommended and I opt for gentle cleansers to remove any impurities. After cleansing, I put it on a cotton pad and apply it all over my face. Once it sets then the moisturiser/serum is the next step of the skincare routine. At first, it gave some tingly feeling, but it doesn’t last long. In the morning, my skin feels smoother and softer. I wonder if it will really minimise the pores, it would be great! I will carry on using it the same way to see the full effects of it. Maybe it makes its way to forever repurchase list.

Alpha-H Liquid Gold is £33.50 for 100 ml, even if you use it every other night, it would last for a few months. As I keep saying, in order to see the full benefits of a skincare product, it is best to test at least for a month or two. I don’t have any hyper-pigmentation or scaring but I noticed that I don’t get that much breakouts anymore. I haven’t seen any effects on fine lines yet after using it for a few weeks. Do I recommend it? If you’re looking for a strong chemical exfoliator then yes. If you have really sensitive skin, then you should probably test it before making a commitment.

Do you prefer physical or chemical exfoliating? What’s your favourite chemical exfoliator? Have you tried Alpha-H Liquid Gold?
